Buckelew Programs is all about helping people with a serious mental illness, and to help others to uncover the myths that surround people with mental illness. Jay Zlotnick, the Executive Director, is a very kind person, and he loves what he does.He used to work directly with the clients, but now he works in the central administrative office dealing with a variety of challenges.The programs two main needs are money, and community support.We, the community, can help by supporting what people with a serious mental illness can really do.They are not crazy, threatening, and weird! They can work, and live in a normal life just like everyone else. Buckelew also helps provide homes and helps clients get jobs when they are able to work. Buckelew Programs wants to support their clients so they can live a normal life in the community, and also show the community that people with mental illness are just like us.
